About the Applied Molecular Microbiology Laboratory
Long before the term "biotechnology" was coined, humans have been utilizing microorganisms and the enzymes they produce. The diverse capabilities of microorganisms can be applied across various fields, including solving environmental and food-related challenges, pharmaceutical development, and high-tech industries. There are still countless undiscovered microorganisms and enzymes waiting to be explored.
In our laboratory, we employ biochemical, microbiological, molecular microbiological, protein engineering, and genetic approaches to unravel the mechanisms of diverse and unique microbial metabolisms. Our research aims to understand these mechanisms and explore their potential applications.
